Dr. Dean is a native of Arkansas who has lived in Shreveport since 2009. She holds a bachelor of arts in Speech and Hearing Communication Disorders and Sciences from Ouachita Baptist University. She obtained her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she was awarded “scholar of the year” twice. Dr. Dean completed her externship at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock where she specialized in pediatric diagnostics as well as both adult and pediatric cochlear implants. She is licensed in Audiology by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. At Ark-La-Tex Ear, Nose & Throat and Hearing Center, Dr. Dean works with patients and families to rehabilitate each patient’s ability to communicate effectively. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, singing and music as well as spending time with her family and friends.
