Oral Cancer

This disease is a cancer of the mouth, lips, tongue or throat. About 90 percent of oral cancers are squamous cell carcinomas, which are malignant cells that tend to spread quickly. If left untreated, they can cause tumors in surrounding tissues and in other parts of the body. Oral cancers are known to spread through the lymphatic system.
